Position Summary:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining construction machinery/equipment. This includes equipment such as loaders, dozers, excavators, and hydraulic systems. As well as fleet vehicles, water pumps, and small gas operated engines. Ensuring all equipment is safe, reliable, and operating at peak performance.

Key Functions and Responsibilities:

Diagnostics & Repairs
-Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, including gas and diesel engines
-Disassemble and reassemble components for repair and/or replacement
-Use diagnostic tools, software, and multimeters for troubleshooting

Preventative Maintenance
-Complete preventive maintenance and inspections such as safety checks, performing scheduled maintenance tasks (oil and filter replacements, etc.) as well as documenting results accurately in work orders for each machine

Technical Documentation
-Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints and technical manuals.
-Document work orders and service activities using designated systems and software on tablets and/or laptops

Required Qualifications:
-Minimum of 4 years’ experience servicing construction equipment and light trucks
-Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read schematics
-Familiarity with OSHA safety standards
-Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience with digital diagnostic platforms and telematics
-Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, gas and diesel systems
-Certifications from ASE or similar organizations
-Proficient in Microsoft Suite

Physical Requirements:
-Work is performed in shop and outdoor environments year-round, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and other harsh weather.
-Must be able to stand, bend, kneel, and work in confined or awkward positions for extended periods.
-Regularly lifts and carries up to 50 lbs.-Must tolerate dust, noise, vibration, and exposure to fuels, lubricants, and other shop chemicals.
